DIY Watercolor Ombré Cards

Hi. Since it's the holiday season now, it's time to get crafty to share your prezzies for Xmas & New Year! Yay! So here's an idea of a simple DIY Watercolor Ombré Cards idea. This would really compliment gift accessories set! Paste this cards on top of your beautiful gift boxes & it will look really cute! Done!

When aiming for a beautiful ombre look, you can start from the darkest shade you prefer and then begin by adding White watercolor paint to soften the shade. The lines that we created were entirely hand painted! If you wish to have more precision on neat lines, you can use tapes to divide em' before beginning. Do try this at home!

Enjoy!

Let's make the Pink Lemon Soda. This is so refreshing & it's perfect for a sunny day.

- Combine your strawberries(remember to omit the leaves) & sugar into a blender.
- Squeeze half a lemon into the mixture.
- Blend them till there is no clumps seen.
- Sieve the mixture into your prepared glasses until the residues are removed (the mixture will be slightly thick but there's nothing to worry about)
- Pour in your soda (not too much, otherwise it gets diluted)
- Serve chilled

Now for the mains, Cinnamon Thick French Toast.  This french toast is so crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.

  • Prep Time 5 min
  • Bake Time: 25 mins
  • Servings 2

Ingredients
2 Tablespoons butter (to grease your pan)
4 Eggs, beaten
7 Bread, square cubed ( sliced em' in 4)
2/3 cup Milk
1 cup Brown sugar
1 tbsp Condensed Milk
1/4 tsp Cinnamon (grounded)
Almonds (to be sprinked)
Fresh Fruits (for garnish)

Method
- Grease your baking pan with butter
- In a small bowl, combine beaten eggs, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon
- Add the condensed milk
- Arrange slices of bread in the baking dish, overlapping one another
- Pour the mixture evenly as you begin overlapping the bread (so that the mixture soaks through)
- You may wish to wrap them tightly with a cling wrap and place in the refrigerator for 4-12 hours ( but we didn't & it still tasted good)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Bake them for 25 mins
- Sprinkle the almond into the dish 5 mins before taking it out of the oven (for crisp almonds)
- Garnish with whatever goodness you like (banana, strawberries, blueberries and the list goes on)

DIY Gift Wrapping (Polka Dots)

Hi, we've not really got used to the style of blogging yet (or is there a certain way you should do it?). But for a start, why not right? We've always had friends and families encouraging us to create a blog like "You should start a blog you know!", "Hey how did you do this?", "Hi, can you share the recipe please?".

So, we took a few days to shoot & taaadaaaa! Here we are (quite excited actually you know hehe)! Let's start with this simple DIY Gift Wrapping (polka dots) style that you can use.

Here are the materials that you'll need:
  • Ol' School pencils with rubber tips (we all should have this at home)
  • Twines (Let us know if you need em')
  • Any plain wrapping papers (Let us know if you need these too)
  • White Watercolor Paint (We used the Pentel brand)
- Dip your rubber tips of your pencils into the paint.
- You can start by diagonally dotting from the corner of the wrapping paper. Remember to tilt it before beginning. (seen from the photo).
- Gently use the rubber tips and create parallel dotted lines to the bottom.
- Remember to leave your wrapping papers to dry for at least 5-6 hours before wrapping.
- Finally, you can tie them up with anything fancy, like Twines, to create this parcel-like wraps for your loved ones.

Enjoy!

Love,
